Masking for your Skin Type
My ideal
With such a great range of powdered masks, each designed with all-natural, organic, food
When you purchase a powder mask, you’ll receive a bamboo bowl and spoon set for mixing. Normally, you would take 3 spoonfuls of the mask mix and 3 spoonfuls of warm water and combine them to make a paste. BUT if you really want to maximize the benefits for your skin type, here are a few other ingredients you can combine your powder mask with:
For Dry Skin: Mix with plain yogurt (no sugar) + a squeeze of honey
For Oily Skin: Mix with freshly brewed herbal tea + a squeeze of honey
For Break Out: Replace 1 spoon of water (out of the 3) with Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Now you might be thinking, what’s so amazing about a powder mask?? Why not just buy the pre-made masks that come in a tube? Here are a few reasons powdered masks are my go-tos:
- Pre-made masks have already been activated, which means they have a shorter shelf life after they’ve been opened and are more likely to have larger amounts of chemicals and preservatives whereas powdered masks are activated by the base (water, yogurt, etc.) every single time they are used.
- Because powdered masks are activated upon every single use, you are unleashing the full power of the mask whenever it is applied to your skin. Each mask is carefully crafted with powerful ingredients to work their magic and you don’t want lousy chemicals and preservative getting in the way!
- Although powdered masks do take a little more preparation than pre-made masks, you can use this time to really focus on taking care of yourself and your skin; making time to SELAH (pause + reflect).
